A plain-English guide to actually using AI in a small business. Written at seventy-two, after a stroke, in ten one-hour lessons.
I wrote down exactly what I do, in the order I do it, so that it can be followed by somebody who has never typed a word into one of these things. No code. No jargon. No hype. One hour a day for ten days, on your own real work.
I am seventy-two. I had a stroke in 2025 and it took most of my short-term memory. I cannot reliably recall what I read fifteen minutes ago.
In the year since, I have built four websites, published two books, set up an online shop that takes card payments and calculates New York sales tax correctly, and installed an enterprise security monitoring platform across five machines.
I did none of it from memory. I did all of it from written pages, one small step at a time, in the early hours when my head is clearest, stopping at midday whether the job was finished or not.
If I can do it, so can you. That is not encouragement. It is arithmetic.
Every client gets a copy, free, the day we start. Teaching session, full day, done-for-you work, on-call — it does not matter which. You get the book.
It is also on Amazon in paperback and for Kindle, if you would rather just buy it and get on with it yourself. That is a perfectly good outcome and I would rather you did that than paid me for something you can do alone.
